Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with a sophisticated renewable energy practice, is seeking an Associate with 5–7 years of experience to join its Energy practice group. This position may be based in any of the firm's offices nationwide.

What you'll do:
• Represent clients in renewable energy project development matters.
• Draft, negotiate, and close a wide variety of complex commercial agreements.
• Advise clients on project acquisitions, divestitures, and financing transactions.
• Support renewable energy projects involving wind, solar, battery storage, and other energy technologies.
• Assist with real estate, project development, and energy-related transactional matters.
• Work with project sponsors, investors, lenders, and developers throughout all phases of project development and financing.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver practical business solutions for clients.
What you will need:
• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 5–7 years of experience in renewable energy transactions, conventional energy transactions, or comparable transactional practices.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Renewable or conventional energy transactions
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Project finance
- Real estate transactions
- Project development
• Demonstrated experience negotiating, drafting, and closing complex commercial agreements.
• Excellent writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where you'd be located.
• Experience with renewable energy tax credits, including Investment Tax Credits (ITCs) and Production Tax Credits (PTCs), is a plus but not required.
