Responsibilities

The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing customer specific strategies aligned with the North American sales strategy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and manage a major OEM customer relationship, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Build strong relationships across multiple levels within customer organizations
  • Communicate product capabilities, technology roadmaps, and new program opportunities
  • Lead RFQ activity from pre-quote through award and program launch
  • Manage customer portals, CRM tools, and market intelligence resources
  • Own account financials, sales strategy presentations, and customer negotiations
  • Support launch, quality, engineering, and manufacturing-related customer issues
  • Domestic and international travel as required

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Marketing
  • 5+ years of experience managing or supporting General Motors as a customer
  • Experience selling or supporting highly engineered automotive products preferred
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
